HOW TO NAIL BOYFRIEND JEANS TREND
[dropcap]I[/dropcap]’ll be honest with you guys, I had my boyfriend jeans for a year and had gotten into them only once before I realized that I can rock their look on me. I was at one time looking to wear something other than skinny jeans and I just thought that these baggy pants might be it! But, having worn them the first time did not make me as happy as I thought would be. These jeans then came to be one of those never worn pieces in my wardrobe as I felt that pulling them off is impossible.
When I came to learn about building a capsule wardrobe last month, these jeans were one of the first few pieces I thought of. I really wanted to nail the boyfriend jeans trend! Not only they look comfy and effortless, but also coming off with plenty of rips makes them the perfect go-to denim this summer, wouldn’t you agree?
So, before putting them on the list of things to give away, I decided to render them one more attempt for my summer capsule wardrobe. Only this time, before trying them on with some of the pieces in the mix, I took notes on how I want to style my jeans according to what shoes I want to wear.
Will I be able to pull them off this time? Here are the 5 styles I put together and let’s find out!
[dropcap]➀[/dropcap] Boyfriend Jeans + Heeled Sandals
For a more feminine look, pair your favorite boyfriend jeans with a low-heeled sandal and finish it off with an off-shoulder top. This model-off-duty style never fails to attract!
[dropcap]➁[/dropcap] Boyfriend Jeans + White Sneakers
For a perfect go-to outfit, pair your jeans with white sneakers and a white basic tee. Wear a retro eyeglass to touch it up. PERRRFFFECT for summer!
[dropcap]➂[/dropcap] Boyfriend Jeans + Low Top Sneakers
This type of shoe is great for that tricky, sassy showing of ankle. Since, these jeans lack of leg shape, low tops give a more shaped finish. And so, I put together this outfit for colder days. 🙂
[dropcap]➃[/dropcap] Boyfriend Jeans + Flat Sandals
For a super casual look and chic you, wear your boyfriend jeans with flat sandals, a cute crop top and an aviator.
[dropcap]➄[/dropcap] Boyfriend Jeans + Wedge Sneakers
For a tougher look, tuck your jeans into wedge sneakers. Pair them with a sleeveless tops and wear a scarf to add story.
Here are other boyfriend jeans you might like:
Yay! It certainly looks like I’m getting the hang of it, wouldn’t you say so? Happy to have them included in the mix. 🙂
